hy all,
i was a little bored today as my girl is in theater and left me for amusement
so here i d like to show you with what i was spearing with the last few weeks- had a lot of fun with!
the atlatl is a absolut instinctive weapon with lots of power
not that precise as a bow of course but lots of fun shootin it. i started with a quick version out of hawthorn wich was green -and it bend-moreover it s a bit to week , flexing over the whole length what gives a squishy feeling. i decided to make a real good one and here it is
my replica is longer than the original cave found, about 67cm long overall. made of yew wood, having a precise bending zone and
an ergonimic handle that gives a good feedback how to hold it, and hit through..
