I get automated marketing calls and text messages to my mobile phone from time to time. It really pisses me off going to the phone for a BS call. I found out you can register your phone at an FCC site called the National do not call list https://www.donotcall.gov Registering your phone number makes it illegal for anyone to send marketing texts and/or calls to your phone. If they do you can file a complaint. See the information here Unwanted Telephone Marketing Calls | FCC.gov I registered my phone, will wait to see if it works.
