Default Cycling/Triathlon

Does anyone here on the forum also do any cycling or triathlons? Dan got me motivated to post this with his talk about biking, I usually bike during lunch at work so I took this one just now and thought I would see if anyone else also enjoys it.

I used to take week long trips mountain biking florida and also up in north carolina, would do 25 mile rides across the levees out through the everglades to keep in shape. Sold my bike a couple months back though due to lack of use... I miss it and need to get back into it.

well this is a standard arm position on these bikes, but it looks verry deep for u.

some of the pros don t lay so deep , because of the better breathing or back pain.

u could try getting some spacer added.. have fun

You mean the front is low then? I had someone on another forum comment that maybe the seat was a little high, so maybe I'll lower it and see how that goes.

u can only lower or upper in a short range...

the saddle has to give the best efficiency for ur legs`-length ---- looks good on the photo.
--means : the distance from pedal to ass has to be very exact and depends on your legs length....- no scope

to slide the saddle position (-no we are changing the angle not the distance) forward, can upper ur body only abit,, and having the arms to near before ur knees isnt the aim.

if its a no hurt position actually-go for it

breath deep and fun

the frame almost looks too small, I don't think you should be so hunched

could be because the saddle is maximum forward position..

cww--that is a very nice bike sir.
X2 what mrmike said about your frame looking a little short. We used to say that your handlebar should cover your view of your front axle
I am NO expert, but have ridden road race since 1969 and do sprint triathlons now.
Let me know if I can help further

Thanks guys I'll take another picture and tell me what you guys think. I just ordered some 165mm cranks (have 170 now) to help with the leg to stomach inteference.

Hau, you are correct if you are talking about road bike geometry regarding seeing the axle but today's tri bike are at 78 degree seat angles compared to a traditional 72-74 for a rode bike.

Thanks for the posts, I have my first sprint Triathlon on the 17th so hopefully I can atleast finish the thing.
