Default Thinking about one of these...

...as opposed to a kayak . Mainly, for more stability in rough winter water casting streamers for stripers; which is originally why I was looking at them anyway. But then thought it'd make a pretty cool diveplatform ,too.

Take a look, lemme know whatcha think.

Ha ! Well I do see 'D' rings attached to the front of the pontoons, so it might be an idea. I think having it shipped to Cuba would be a bit cost and storage prohibitive. So might just pick it up when I get home.

And thanks, Dan.

i have seen guys do well on lakes in central FL on things like that...standing and casting and tossing a cast net with no issue...they seem to be pretty stable.

i know there is one like that with a bigger platform i have seen as well

Judah, they also have one that is completely frameless and folds into a wheeled piece of luggage. I believe it weighs 38 lbs. total.

Ya think they'd be alright , though ?

You're in Cuba? There should be much to tell.

Not yet, buddy. Start my pre-mob work up July 1st , have some training to go thru, and should be in country by Aug. 11th. Most of my gear is already down there waiting on me.

i think it would be a great platform as long as you keep sharp things covered, like on a RIB...it has the nice bonus of being so light that it would be towable like a dive float if you chose to swim it out or in.

I don't know where you're stationed. The nice thing about the Cuban north coast I know is that the water gets deep fast, and a kayak is not necessary to reach good diving areas from the coast.
